Fix a whole batch by orientation
Scanned or camera-dumped folders often contain a mix where only the portrait shots are sideways. Restrict the rotation to one orientation and correct those files without disturbing the rest.
Rotate JPG, PNG, and GIF files by 90°, 180°, 270°, or any custom angle. Flip horizontally or vertically, and target only the landscape or only the portrait images in a mixed batch.

Right-angle rotations of a JPEG are applied as a pure pixel transform, avoiding the generational quality loss that comes from decoding and re-encoding at a lower quality. Custom angles require resampling and expand the canvas to fit the rotated corners.
Cameras often store the image upright and record the intended rotation in an EXIF orientation tag, which some viewers ignore. This tool applies the rotation to the actual pixels and clears the tag, so the result is consistent everywhere.
The canvas grows to contain the rotated image and the exposed corners are filled with a background colour you choose, or left transparent when exporting to PNG.
