Commercial background removers meter your usage because they pay for GPU time. This one runs on your hardware, so there is nothing to meter — process a hundred product shots at no cost and with no upload.
Isolate the subject of a photo with an on-device segmentation model and export a transparent PNG. Refine the edges with a brush when the model needs help.
Your images are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
This tool is compute-intensive and works best on a desktop browser.

Segmentation models struggle with fine hair, glass, and low-contrast edges. A brush and eraser let you paint the mask directly, which is faster than fighting a slider when only one corner is wrong.
Because your device does the computation. There is no GPU bill to pass on, so there is no usage cap and no reason to collect your files.
The model is tuned for people, products, and animals against reasonably distinct backgrounds. Transparent, reflective, and very fine-detailed subjects are genuinely hard — use the refinement brush to correct the mask by hand.
PNG, because it supports an alpha channel. Exporting to JPG would flatten the transparency against a solid colour, defeating the purpose.
